Gabrielle Pitchford, soprano, holds a Bachelor of Arts from Rollins College in Winter Park, Florida and a Master of Music in Vocal Performance from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro. Gabrielle has also trained extensively in Europe, learning German as a second language, and studying with world-renowned coaches, teachers, and conductors.
Feeling most herself on the stage and in front of an audience, Gabrielle has enjoyed a life of performing in operas, competitions, concerts and recitals. Most recently, Gabrielle had her Mexican debut as Suor Angelica in Suor Angelica with the International Summer Opera Festival of Morelia. She has also performed the roles of Musetta in La Bohème, Suor Genovieffa in Suor Angelica, and both Pamina and First Lady in Die Zauberflöte. In addition to opera productions, Gabrielle loves programming and singing recitals. At the completion of her Masters degree, she performed a recital comprised of all female composers ranging from the Baroque to present day.
Currently, Gabrielle resides in St. Petersburg, Florida where she enjoys performing with local companies such as Opera Tampa, and teaches voice out of her private studio in Gulfport.
